1. Purpose of This Policy

Modern slavery is a serious violation of human rights and includes forced labour, human trafficking, servitude, and child labour. Everything Ultrasound is committed to preventing modern slavery within our business operations and throughout our supply chain.

As a specialist distributor of diagnostic ultrasound systems, spare parts, training, and maintenance services, we recognise our responsibility to act ethically, transparently, and with integrity in all areas of our work.

2. Our Business and Supply Chain

Everything Ultrasound operates as a small UK-based services and equipment distributor providing:

  • Diagnostic ultrasound systems
  •
  • OEM and OEM third-party spare parts
  •
  • Technical training for hospital engineering teams
  •
  • Maintenance and support services

Our supply chain includes:

  • Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs)
  •
  • Approved suppliers of ultrasound components and consumables
  •
  • Logistics and courier partners
  •
  • Subcontracted engineers or training specialists (where required)

Some suppliers operate internationally, and we acknowledge that certain regions may present higher modern slavery risks. We take proportionate steps to assess and mitigate these risks.

3. Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Ensuring modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our operations
  •
  • Conducting business ethically and responsibly
  •
  • Maintaining transparency in our supply chain
  •
  • Working only with suppliers who uphold high labour and human-rights standards
  •
  • Continually improving our processes to identify and address risks

4. Responsibilities

Management Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain this policy
  •
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and risk assessments
  •
  • Ensure staff understand how to identify and report concerns
  •
  • Review this policy annually or following significant changes

Employee Responsibilities

  • Read and comply with this policy
  •
  • Report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery
  •
  • Participate in training where required
  •
  • Act with integrity when engaging with suppliers or subcontractors

5. Supplier Due Diligence and Risk Management

We expect all suppliers to operate ethically and comply with relevant labour laws. Our due diligence process includes:

  • Assessing supplier risk based on geography, industry, and labour practices in areas such as:

    • Termination rights of employees
    •
    • Prohibits child labour practices
    •
    • Prohibits compulsory overtime practices
    •
    • Prohibits threats of violence and harassment
    •

  •
  • Requesting evidence of compliance (e.g., Modern Slavery Statements, policies, certifications)
  •
  • Including anti-slavery clauses in supplier agreements where proportionate
  •
  • Reviewing suppliers periodically, especially those in higher-risk regions or industries

If concerns arise, we may:

  • Request corrective action
  •
  • Suspend or terminate the relationship if compliance cannot be demonstrated

6. Training and Awareness

Given our size, training is proportionate but effective. Relevant staff — particularly those involved in procurement, logistics, and subcontractor management — receive guidance on:

  • Recognising signs of modern slavery
  •
  • Understanding supply-chain risks
  •
  • Reporting concerns appropriately

Training is refreshed as needed and updated in line with legislation or best practice.

7. Reporting Concerns

We encourage employees, suppliers, and partners to raise concerns at the earliest opportunity. Reports can be made confidentially to:

Designated Contact: Mark Edwards, CEO
Email: mark.edwards@everythingultrasound.co.uk
Phone: 07769 903626

All reports will be investigated promptly and sensitively. We do not tolerate retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith.

8. Continuous Improvement

We are committed to strengthening our approach to preventing modern slavery by:

  • Reviewing this policy annually
  •
  • Monitoring changes in legislation and industry guidance
  •
  • Enhancing supplier engagement and due diligence processes
  •
  • Updating internal procedures as our business grows

9. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

As a small organisation, we use a focused set of Key Performance Indicators to monitor our progress in preventing modern slavery and promoting ethical practice across our operations and supply chain. These KPIs are reviewed annually by the Board of Directors.

  • Employee Training: 100% of employees to complete modern slavery awareness training each year, with all new starters trained within their first month.
  •
  • Supplier Due Diligence: 100% of new suppliers to undergo basic due diligence checks before engagement, including confirmation of ethical practices and, where applicable, the presence of a Modern Slavery Statement via our Due Diligence Questionnaire.
  •
  • Supplier Risk Assessment: All existing suppliers to be categorised by risk level (low/medium/high) and reviewed annually.
  •
  • Policy Review: Annual review and update of relevant internal policies, including the Modern Slavery Policy, Whistleblowing Policy, and Procurement Policy.
  •
  • Corrective Actions: Any identified issues or nonconformities to be addressed and closed within 60 days.
  •
  • Incident Reporting: Monitoring and recording of any concerns raised, with zero tolerance for unethical practices and immediate investigation of any reported issues.
